Every now and then I get a random idea I wanna try. Does "media on a prim" work with meshes? Yes :) This short video shows You Tube working on a mesh of 15 single face screens. (video)
Another short video of my experiments with mesh. HTML webpage on a single mesh prim of 15 faces. Worked flawlessly and even has clickable interaction on each face (unexpected bonus).
You might also notice another experiment in this vid. A single mesh conforming assymetrical dress. With peek-a-boo- holes at the waist. Still a little glitchy with the skin weighting, and also with LOD versions (which were auto-generated). Next time I'll generate my own LOD versions through 3dsmax and see if i can improve the dropoff/skin glitches.
